Investment coins of Cameroon

The gold "Lunar" of the second series, timed to coincide with the year of the Rooster according to the eastern calendar, is part of the collection of investment coins of the "Lunar Series" issued by the Perth Mint of Australia. The first series of "Lunar" was released from 1996 to 2007, the second - from 2008 to 2019, the third is currently being released and will be completed in 2031.

The Year of the Rooster 2017 is a gold coin with a denomination of 100 Australian dollars. It is made of pure gold 0.9999 samples weighing 1 troy ounce. The circulation of the issue is no more than 6,000. The "lunar" of the second seri differs significantly from the sample of the first.

The reverse design acquired oriental motifs: the grass and egg that were in the legs of the bird were replaced by bamboo stems and leaves at the edges. The size has also changed. 2017 Rooster is one of the most voluminous coins, it has a diameter of 39.34 mm and a thickness of 2.5 mm. For comparison: the instance of the first series was 32.1 mm in diameter.
